i know most people who read this message won't like the kind of music that my band play and so won't care - but as is life. we are a three piece folk/celtic rock band with influences such as wolfstone, capercaillie, kerfuffle and swap.....(just nod and smile) anyway - the musicians are: - elly.l - violin, bodhran, djembe, tin whistle, mandolin and vocals - naomi.b - leading violin - james.s - electric guitar we haven't gigged anywhere yet as we are still doing some serious practicing (no wait - that's a lie - here practice means 'piss around for a bit playing through a load of tunes to see what we like and occasionally make up an order for something - then eat biscuits.) we are still in the process of planning a possible ceileigh - but that seems to be quite far in the future at the moment. we are also still in the process of looking for a bassist - which is proving difficult for the simple reason that you dont get many folkies/celtic rockers now amongst teenagers still - please contact me if you are possibly interested in playing for us and are derby based (or near derby) well - thats about it really - 'sorry' if you considered reading this to be a pointless waste of time - and 'yay woo!' if you found it remotely interesting elly

Hey, I think your band sounds cool ... You should try and figure out some tunes, then maybe get a site going.

cheers i really appreciate the support. also - we have a name now ;D we are (imagine some corny fanfare) [glow=green,2,300]The Eldritch Youth[/glow]. it took several hours searching through folklore glossaries and weird scottish terms (...don't ask....) but we finally got one! yeah! 'the eldritch youth' basically means 'the weird/odd/strange/mad teenagers' - a very fitting name i thought... our site is still under construction at the moment - but please take a look anyway if you're interested: [glow=green,2,300] www.the-eldritch-youth.piczo.com[/glow] thanks again Elly p.s. we have a forum now.... eldritchyouth.proboards29.com/index.cgiplease join.... that would make me very happy...
